Chennai 28 team conducts Tournnament !
Chennai 28 which was based on gully cricket, is still continuing its victory march in spite of the Sivaji craze, and is all set to reach the century mark in August. Venkat Prabhu, the director of the film, and S.P.B.Charan, the producer, has come with a unique way of celebrating the century run by conducting a gully cricket tournament.
A total of 64 teams from all over the state are to be selected and a knockout series will be conducted in the first week of August. Food and accommodation for teams coming from other parts of the state will be borne by the producer. The official information on the tournament and the rules will be out by the end of this month, said Venkat Prabhu. And the team that wins the three-day long tournament will be felicitated on the 100th day and will also be playing a one-off game with the Chennai 28 team. This is indeed a unique effort from these youngsters.
