Sivaji makes HUGE profit in overseas !!!
The official overseas report on Sivaji is out, and not surprisingly though; it clearly indicates that AVM and Ayangaran have become a few crores richer. Ayangaran had bought the Sivaji overseas rights for an astronomical sum of US$2.5 mn and at the end of the fourth weekend the movie has made an eye-popping 400% profit.
In the US, the movie was released in a record 65 theatres and is set to have collected a record breaking $2 mn. Not left behind, in Canada, the movie, which was released in ten theatres has collected $0.5 mn. In the United Kingdom the movie has collected an astounding $0.75 mn. In other parts of Europe and Gulf countries the film grossed $1.5 mn. In Srilanka, Singapore and Malaysia it has fetched a never before reception at the ticket counters with $1.25 mn, $0.75 mn and $2 mn respectively. And the combined collection from Australia, New Zealand and Thailand is an upward of $0.25 mn. In about 200 theaters, Sivaji has collected a colossal US$9.25 mn. And remember the collection is devoid of Rajini’s favorite grounds like Japan and South Africa. So till now, the movie has collected Rs. 37 crores in its four-week run.
