Thullal movie review ..
It is a season now for the directors in the Tamil film industries to turn heroes. But the question is, do they look at the mirror to decide whether they are apt for doing the role of a play boy, a Casanova.
Though directors like Cheran, turned actors – they have done roles suiting them and this has won many accolades from the industry as well as the public. But it is for Praveen Kanth to answer whether he had tested himself before playing the hero in the film Thullal.Since his name is Kanth – Praveen kanth has mistaken himself to be equal to Rajini Kant. He has tried to adopt the styles of Rajini Kant but it has turned out be worst. Why such experiment is the question asked by the audience of the movie. One should be very strong hearted to sit and watch the full length of movie.
There competition between the hero, heroines and the story to come first in the worst list. If at all the readers are interested in knowing the story here is the story. Pravinkanth plays the role of an anti-hero. He is a womeniser, who makes women fall at his feet. For him women are nothing but a use and throw material. He seduces heroine Kurlin Chopra and leaves her after she becomes pregnant. Only then she realizes that Pravin kanth had used her to fulfill his lust. Here comes Sonika who is Kurlin’s friend. Sonika vows to take revenge on the person who spoilt the life of Kurlin.Knowing this Pravin Kanth starts wooing Sonika and finally marries her. The couple go to Ooty for their honeymoon and there find Kurlin as a tourist guide. What happens to the two heroines becomes the climax of the story. The only relaxation in the movie is Vivek’s comedy. Songs are not easy on ears. Pravin Kanth has dreamt high of becoming a successful actor in the line of Cheran and otBut he has failed in his attempt. At least will her realize this in future and doing roles that suit him is the question among the audience.
