Thee Nagar - Review
The theme of thee nagar is, If Students think...? They have spent fourteen reels and the reserve bank money to show only this has a whole concept in the entire movie.
Though this dream has been director Thirumalai's early morning dream it is considered to be an appreciating dream. Karan who is unemployed and who does not get a proper job starts a tea stall. He is making use of the students support and their strength to create a new revolution in politics.He does not ignore his girlfriend even after she gets burn marks in her face and loses her beauty. (A..Ah 'Thee' everywhere?) what difficulties does Karan who have all the qualities of a perfect human and with good humanity, face in this story? Thee nagar is all about how he comes out of all this difficulties.
The conflict is like the lava coming out of the volcano between Karan and Shanmugarajan,the arrogant and wild Police inspector who is growing in tamil movies. Like a devil, Shanmugaraj who tries to give always trouble to karan and the students join hands together and get into the police station and catch the police officer red handed is an imagination which is out of directors limitation.The other category like this over imagination is that the overall Tamilnadu students gather together for a former chairman.
The new face Heroine Udhayathara is having a precious eyes. Her eyes speaks all the hidden expressions of a face. She being a rich and a beautiful girl gets fire burns in her face. But why isn't her parents taking efforts to do plastic surgery for her? In this situation,is karan necessary to do this by getting out of the jail? All this questions arises about this movie and lot more standing in the que? But all the question marks which is in our subconcious mind gets demolished by the speed flow of the movie.
The student leader Bhasheer-Karan's fighting tactics sets as an example of how should the college students fight should be. In the very next scene Karan-Bhasheer saying i dont have any individual anger over you and puts his hand over the opponent and teaches us how to immediately apologize and join together and become friends. It seems like the members of the canteen must have also given the production expense for making this movie. There is four songs before the interval arrives. Thank god, it is the music director Jessie Gift's music scoring,Since the songs was a gift for the movie, it made only few heads to leave the auditorium during the song.
The actions scenes is so hotter that even it can burst away a thermometer which is kept in our mouth...Director must have thought of lighting the fire using kerosene. But what is really a disappointment was that the match stick which has to burn it became worthless.
