Vel is the new film directed by Hari with Surya and Asin in the lead. This film is produced by Mohan Natrajan. This film has been sold for 1 crore and 5 lakh rupees in the Chennai area and have created a record. This film has beat the record created by Gajini again with Surya and Asin in the lead. Abirami Ramanathan who bought the distribution rights of Shivaji for Chennai paying a high amount and G V Films have jointly got the rights of Vel. Expectations about Vel have risen as successful pair Surya and Asin are acting together after Gajini and Hari – Surya combination which gave 6 super hit films earlier are joining hands and also the presence of Vadivelu who has risen to the level of a comedy hero.
