Sameera joins in VA team !
Deciding on the heroine for ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ has been a big problem for Gautham Menon for a long time. Since the launch of the film many actresses have been considered for the movie to pair up with the handsome Surya. Divya plays one of the heroines.‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ (A Thousand Elephants) is a forthcoming Tamil film being directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Oscar Ravichandran. It stars Surya Sivakumar, Sameera Reddy and Divya in pivotal roles with Daniel Balaji acting in a supporting role. The film’s score and soundtrack will be composed by Harris Jayaraj with lyrics penned by Thamarai. Shooting for the film has already begun in Afganistan and is soon expected to move to locations in the United States of America, India, Malaysia and Russia. The film is slated for release in early 2008.
The list of actress approached look really long, with Deepika Padukone to Asin to Genelia to but all of them backed out for some reason or the other. The shoot of the second schedule of the film was to start at Berkley University in US in the first week of October and a search was on to sign an actress for the desirable heroine’s role.A worried Gautham went to bollywood to talk to actresses like Tabu, Nandana Sen, Shamita Shetty and few others. The travel to bollywood seems to be successful with Gautham finding the leading lady for his film. Sources are that dusky beauty Sameera Reddy has agreed to do the film and she flew down to Chennai last week for a discussion about the film. If she does the film she’ll be seen in the role of a beautiful NRI in an American university who falls for the hero.
Sexy siren Sameera is looking ever more beautiful after her fitness regime. It is now left on Surya to put his stamp of approval on Gautham’s choice. He is currently away to Switzerland shooting a song with Asin for ‘Vel’ and will be back on October 3. Bhanu the dress designer of the film is currently with the unit of ‘Vel’ and will have to come down and have a costume rehearsal for Sameera before the US schedule of beginning from October 10.
