Karthika in Aruvadai !!
Aruvadai has Mammootty paired with Sneha and is a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam produced by Henry for Pankaj films. The film also stars Arjun as a special branch police officer. Mamta Mohandas was signed to play the pair of Arjun, but the movie was stalled and then has started shooting again now and hence Mamta could not give the dates for the movie.
Now ‘Namnadu’ Karthika has been chosen as the pair of Arjun in this movie. In the film, Mammootty plays an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, Gopikrishnan married to an airlines pilot Nandini, played by Sneha. Their personal life is unhappy as they are childless. Jai Aakash plays the important character of a ASP in the film which has patriotism laced with family sentiments. Deepak J.D. plays the KD (villain) in this action-family drama.
Vidyasagar is the music director and Rajesh Yadav the cameraman. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu, Pa. Vijay and Yugabharathi. The film is being shot in Chennai, Cochin, Marthandam and Kanyakumari. Amitabh Bachchan has been approched to play the Prime Minister’s character in this movie. The film’s producer Henry has met Amitabh and given him the script in English. Henry is confident that Amitabh will accept the role once he reads the script.
