Action against Kuthu Ramya ?
The star protests held in Chennai to support the Hogenakkal water supply project and the subsequent clashes staged in Karnataka, particularly Bangalore, against the Tamil speaking people witnessed a massive turn around of artists from the film fraternity. Attendance was made compulsory and instructions were issued to artists by the Nadigar Sangam to this effect.
However, few actresses seem to have invited trouble by taking stands. Prominent of them being Divya Spandana – earlier Kuthu Ramya – who violated the code of conduct even earlier when she joined the protesters to shout slogans in the Cauvery issue. She skipped the protests in Chennai and joined the film fraternity in Karnataka yesterday to voice concern over Tamil Nadu’s stand in the Hogenakkal issue.

This act of hers has put her booming career in Tamil industry in jeopardy. She plays the lead in the Surya starrer Vaaranam Aayiram and imposing action against her for the violation of code of conduct could mean giving her the axe from the movie. An announcement of disciplinary action in this regard is expected anytime soon.
